Two new short stories published in Flying South Magazine #4
Two of my short stories were finalists in the Winston-Salem 2017 writing competition and have been published in Flying South Magazine, which is now available through Amazon.com. One story, "The Black Hole of Shady Acres" is a cautionary tale about the dangers of loaning space in one's freezer to questionable neighbors. The second story, "Vestiges" is sort of a Larry David type situational story about good intentions that backfire. It features Confederate re-enactors, Jim Crow remnants and a pulpwood truck.
